About Blondie

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by My Blonde Moments.

I am Lisa an Ohio native currently living in the big state of Texas! I was born and raised in Ohio where I lived for 27 years. I am a proud Ohioan will always be a Buckeye at heart. No one can take that identity away from me!

I fell in love with Kent State University where I went to undergrad and try to visit as often as possible. I was a sorority girl and loved every minute of it 😉

I then attended The Ohio State University for grad school and earned my MA in Higher Ed and Student Affairs. Don’t know what that means? That’s ok, no one does.

I guess I had some sort of “out of body” moment during grad school because I did something I never thought I’d have the nerve to do. I decided to pack up and move half way across the country in 2009 to the big state of Texas! A place that I really knew nothing about. Where I knew no one. I left behind my family, friends and everything that was familiar to embark on this crazy adventure.

To say it’s been a wild ride would be an understatement. It hasn’t always been easy, but moving to Texas was well worth it because I met this guy:

That’s my boyfriend Michael and I think the reason I was pulled to Texas was so I could meet him! We’re going strong at one year and counting and what a great year it has been! We have a cat named Perry who makes frequent appearances on the blog.

He’s such a little ham. He loves attention!

I thought it would be fun to start sharing some of my stories as I continue to try to figure out life in this new place and navigate through the crazy time of life that is the “20s”. Or the late 20s, in my case. Cough cough…we’ll just forget about that big 3-0 that is looming on the horizon!

So I hope you’ll follow along and share your thoughts with me because I love hearing from my readers!

  1. What a fun adventure! My husband and I picked up and moved from the north to the south two years ago…best thing we ever did! There’s something about living outside of comfort that makes life so exciting! 🙂

    Can’t wait to read more!

  2. Just had to visit because of your title: I can relate! 😉 I recently visited the Houston area and it was awesome! Too bad for the humidity or I’d move there in a heartbeat.
